Albert Roscoe was the first child for Jennie Seelye and John Abram Gish. Albert was a graduate of the Warren Military school which trained bandmasters for the U.S. Army and upon graduation in 1916 was appointed to a bandmasters position in the 33rd Division in WWI. Before and after that war he played professionally with circus, wild west, vaudeville, concert bands, and Theater orchestras.
Albert married Bessie (Betty) Dowler on June 29, 1922 but they never had children.
