Agnes M. Alarid, 93, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on January 5, 2010. Mrs. Alarid is survived by her beloved husband of 78 years, Mr. Tony Alarid; her daughters, Dolores Villanueva and husband, Philip, and Elizabeth Padilla and husband, Carmel; her son-in-law, Joe Solano; grandchildren, Michelle Torrez, Melissa Roveto, Martin Villanueva, Monica Padilla, Anthony Padilla, Joseph Solano, Bernadette Solano, Matthew Villanueva, Grace Pagliaro, and Jennifer Marquez; 19 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren, and two on the way; and many nieces, and nephews; Mrs. Alarid was preceded in death by her parents, Gregorio and Dolores Baca; sister, Adela Pacheco and her husband, Johnny Pacheco; her brother, Richard Baca; her daughters, Shirley Alarid and Jean Solano; and her great-granddaughters, Agnes and Grace. Mrs. Alarid was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and a member of the Legion of Mary. Visitation will be Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 412 Stover SW, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 9:00 a.m. by Br. Gabriel. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. Interment of cremains will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Martin Villanueva, Matthew Villanueva, Anthony Padilla, Joseph Solano, Br.
