Bernice Goff Byrd, age 85, of Hurley passed away January 5, 2010.
Bernice was born in Jackson County, MS to the Late Tolley and Luanne Goff. She was a faithful member of Caswell Springs United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bernice retired from the Annex Restaurant in Pascagoula where she made many friends and fond memories.
Mrs. Byrd is preceded in death by her Parents; Her Husband, Elbert Boggan Byrd; Four Children: Virgil Lampkin, Pete Lampkin, Calvin C. Lampkin, and Virginia Edwards; A Step Daughter, Janet Byrd; Two Sisters, Frances Adkinson, and Lucille Hamilton; One Brother, Darrnell Goff; Two Grandchildren: Angie Ferguson, and Barbara Sue Stanley and two Great Great Grandchildren. Mrs Byrd is survived by one Daughter, Sherry Ferguson of Kosciusko, MS; 18 Grandchildren; numerous Great and Great Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 1pm Friday, January 8th, 2010 at Caswell Springs United Methodist Church with visitation from 11am until service time. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.
