Dorothy Lorene House, daughter of Alvie John Lewis and Velma Castello Rawls Lewis, was born in Darnell, Louisiana in 1922. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Wall;a son, Gary House and his wife, Tommie;daughter, Sandra Ruffin and her husband, Marshall; daughter, Reba Lewis and her husband, Andy; sister, Orpha Dee McIntyre; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mamo was the sweetest! She tickled my back and sang "Jesus Loves Me" when I was little. She never stopped tickling my back. I miss that. She made the BEST chicken and dumplings!
We all still miss her a lot.
