Dillon Giles Darst, 14, of Lebanon, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, in Lebanon.
He was born June 16, 1995, in Springfield, Mo. to Randy and Melissa Giles Darst.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Ray Parker; maternal great-grandparents, Clarence and Clara Mae Giles; paternal great-grandparents, Orval and Goldie Sloan, and Thomas Edward and Mary Darst.
He was a student at Lebanon Senior High School and a member of Brownfield Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Randy and Melissa Darst; a brother, Dustin Darst and two sisters, Mackenzie and Kaitlyn Darst, all of the home; maternal grandparents, Doug and Faye Giles, of Brownfield; paternal grandparents, Russell and Barbara Darst of Lebanon; maternal great-grandmother, Clara Parker, of Lebanon; his uncles, Matt Giles, David Darst and his wife Melita and John Darst and his wife, Tonya, also several great aunts & uncles, and many cousins.
Graveside services and burial for Dillon Giles Darst will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at Mount Rose Memorial Park with Eddie Brandt and Brad Lowrance officiating, under the direction of Shadel's Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Shadel's Colonial Chapel.
Memorials have been established to the Lebanon Alternative School or D.A.R.E. program.

In the last sleep of their time
Lying under the trees and clouds
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.
Today we wondered about an unmarked spot
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.
Today we saw where MOM and DAD lay
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget
But will remember forever more.
Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past
To be preserved for generations hence
A record we hope will last.
Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
