Patty was born 7 weeks premature and suffered from over oxygen saturation in incubation, which led to her mental retardation. She never let this stop her from accomplishing her goals. Patty was the mother of two sons, Mark and Richard. She never saw her grandchildren, she was taken from us far to early. Patty lived with her mother, Irene Greet most of her adult life until her death. Her original maiden name was Greet, from Richard J. Greet III. She and her brother Richard were adopted in the early 1970's or late 1960's by Richard L. Crooks after he married their mother, Irene T. Greet. Patty's first husband was Mark Deal Jr. they were married for several years before Mark left for his home town in Ohio, leaving Patty to raise her two son's on her own, with the aid of "Granny Irene". Little is known about Patty's second husband, John Anderson, but they were technically still married when she died, as far as she knew. Davidson county labeled her grave according to her legal name, which was Anderson, her mother, Irene had wanted to change that to her adopted name, or birth name, but the county would not allow it and everyone knows, the county knows best.
