D. Joan Wallace, 76 of Springfield was born on July 2, 1933 and went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 27, 2009 after a long illness. She was united in marriage to Charles Ramsey Wallace and was a member of the Community Christian Church of Willard, Missouri.

Preceding Mrs. Wallace in death were her parents, LeRoy and Nellie Mae Rose and seven brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; two sons and their wives, Carl Lee and Sandra Wallace of Springfield; Allen and Lisa Wallace of Willard; four grandsons, Chuck, Aaron, Alex and Kyle Wallace; two brothers Charles Rose and wife Beverly, and Richard Rose, both of Springfield; one sister, Venita Hanback and husband, James of Wisconsin; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home, 1635 N. Benton, Springfield, MO with interment in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery at 1:00 P.M. A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2009 in the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.
