Final rites for Albert Sidney Allen, 87, of Rt. 6, Brookhaven, were held Aug. 25 from New Sight Baptist Church with interment in Macedonia Cemetery. The Rev. L. C. Brown, Jr. officiated at the rites. Mr. Allen died Aug. 23 in King's Daughters Hospital.
A native Lincoln Countian Mr. Allen's parents were the late Thomas and Milta Jean Case Allen. He was a farmer and member of the New Sight Baptist Church. Mr. Allen would have observed his 88th birthday Sept. 8.
Mr. Allen preceded in death by his wife, Addie Furlow Allen, in 1965, is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lucius Case and Mrs. Lloyd Case, both of Brookhaven; a son, James Ray Allen, Brookhaven; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
