Mrs. Zaidee S. (Oller) Bartle, 95, a resident of Manorcare Health Services, Chambersburg, PA, formerly of 138 Clayton Ave., Waynesboro, PA died at 12:00 Noon on Monday, January 27, 2003 in the nursing home. She had been in failing health for the past month.
Born, June 22, 1907 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Harry B. and Zaidee (Sprenkle) Oller. She lived her early life in the Waynesboro area.
Mrs. Bartle graduated from Waynesboro High School with the class of 1925. She also graduated from the Waynesboro Business College.
She and her husband, the late Elwood Bartle, were married on August 19, 1940 in Manassas, VA. Mr. Bartle died on February 22, 1992. Mrs. Bartle entered the nursing home October 1, 1999.
Mrs. Bartle worked as a legal secretary for a real estate company in Philadelphia. She later worked in payroll and cost accounting for Lee Carpets in the Philadelphia area.
Mrs. Bartle enjoyed gardening and antiquing.
She is survived by three nieces.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Leah Decker, Alma G. McKean, Edith Noll, and Rello B. Oller; and two brothers, Ernest Oller, and Herman Oller.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday January 31, 2003 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with Rev. Thomas E. Horst officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
