WESTMINSTER - Elbert Jams Adams, 87, of Madison community, Widower of Ida Scruggs Adams, died Saturday. Born in Oconee County, he was a retired farmer and a member of Welcom Baptist Church. He was first married to the late Mary Watt Adams.
Surviving are sons, Melvin Adams of Westminster, Charles Adams of Toccoa, Ga.; a daughter, Helen Brock of Walhalla; a brother, Isaac Adams of Madison; nine grand-children and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were Tuesday at Welcome Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
