Virginia E. Cober, age 83, of Waxahachie, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab in Italy. She was born October 9, 1924 in Dallas, Texas to Crawford J. and Edith D. (Ford) Madden. She was a lifetime member of the Episcopal Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Daughters of the King. Virginia was a past president of the Dallas Fort Worth Hotel/Motel Accountant Association.
Survivors include three sons, Walter Cober, Jr. of Grand Prairie, Peter J. Cober and his wife Velvet of Maypearl, and Charles Jay Cober of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; one daughter, Mary Owens and her husband Jim of Maypearl; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. R. O. Lester. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Louise Voirin and brother, C. J. Madden, Jr.
Graveside service and interment will be 2PM Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas.
