Glenn Perry Adams,88

A graveside memorial service for Glenn Perry Adams, 88 Rocky Ford, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Valley View Cemetery in Rocky Ford. He died April 4, 2006, at Rocky Ford.

Mr. Adams was born on March 24, 1918, in Fosston, CO. to Roy Roscoe Adams and Carrie Alice Ball Adams.

He graduated from Manzanola High School in 1935. He married Edith Ross in July 1937 and she died in 1954. The couple moved to California where he worked for Douglas Aircraft and was employed there most of World War II.

Returning to Manzaola, he spent most of his employment as a mechanic and retired in 1981. On his days off, he spent time repairing "absolutely anything that didn't work," golfing and fishing.

In 1965, he married Barbara Cover Osborn.

Mr. Adams was a member of the Mason for over 50 years, belonging to Silver State Lodge #95, A.F. and A.M. in addition, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

The couple spent winters in Arizona and loved to golf and fish.

He was preceded in death by brothers Verl Richard (Gladys)Adams, Robert Daniel (Sara) Adams, Floyd Lee (Ruth) Adams, and sister Bonnie Adams Holm of Othello, WA.

In addition, two daughters, Barbara Meyer and Ann Osborn, preceded him in death.

He is survived by children, Larry Adams of Colorado Springs, Janet Haythborn of Eaton, Kay, Mike, Carol, and Mark; and eight grandchildren. Steve Meyer Passarelli, Jeffery (Louise) Adams, Timothy Adams, Sara Adams, Shane (Jennie) Bauman and Aaron Bauman.

He was also a grandparent to Barbara's grandchildren; Gregg, Marisa, Barbie, Mike, Kelly Ann, Marie, Michael, Meagan, Mary, Ashley and Daniel, who survive as do 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
