Evelyn Rogers Alexander, 90, of Huntersville, NC died January 4, 2009 at the Huntersville Oaks. She was born on February 18, 1918 in Mecklenburg County to the late Joseph and Lula Collins Rogers. She was a member of Huntersville ARP Church, where she was part of the Women of the Church. She retired as a postal carrier in 1981. Evelyn was a member of the American Legion Auxilary. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Alexander and daughter Luanne Cooper. She is survived by son, Albert Eldon Alexander (and wife Glenda) of Raleigh, NC; 5 grandchildren, Jed and Gary Cooper and Britt, Erin and Lane Alexander; 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Graveside services will be held at 3 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Huntersville ARP Church with Rev. Bryan Crotts officiating.
