Mr. Egan Baker, one of the most prominent and well known men of the parish, died at his home in Mt. Lebanon Sunday night after a long illness. Rev. J.C. Cox conducted the funeral service Monday afternoon at the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church of which Mr. Baker had been a loyal member for many years. Sweet music was rendered by the male quartette and Mr. Byron Cox gave a beautiful solo. Interment was in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Hosts of sorrowing friends were there to pay the last sad tribute. The grave was left a mound of lovely flowers. May be bereaved find comfort in the thought that there is a time coming when there shall be no more death, neither sorrow. Many relatives and friends from here attended the funeral of Mr. Egan Baker at Mt. Lebanon Monday afternoon.
