Elsie Collins, 71 of Centerville died Saturday, December 18, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
Elsie was born on May 2, 1933 to Allan and Victoria(Taylor)Melville in Grenada, West Indies. She married StClair Collins on April 12, 1955 in Trinidad, West Indies, he preceded her in death in 1995. She was a member of Drake Avenue Christian Church in Centerville.
Elsie is survived by five children, Dr. Erica Collins of Centerville, Chyril Johnson and her husband Earl of New York, New York, Eric Collins and his wife Liberty of Sturgis, Michigan, Rawie Collins of Jamaica, New York, Dave Collins of San Antonio, Texas, five grandchildren, Rachard Collins, Chantal Johnson, Darian Johnson, Eric Collins Jr.,Tanya Collins, ten siblings, Allan, Calvin, Howard, Orville and Leonard Hepburn, Glenda Richards, Denise, Ivol, Lystra Melville and Shirley Phillips. She was preceded in death by her parents Allan and Victoria Melville, her husband StClair and a sister Gwendolyn Dyer.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 am, Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at Drake Avenue Christian Church with Rev. Carl Heien officiating. Friends may stop by Thomas Lange Funeral Home Tuesday with the family present from 6-8 pm. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.
