Alfred LeRoy Allen, age 62, of Ferris, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2009 at the V.A. Medical Center in Dallas. He was born February 9, 1947 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Alfred and Rose (Barlow) Allen. Alfred served in the U. S. Navy and was stationed in Cuba at Guantanamo Bay from 1966 to 1968. He was an avid fisherman and a blues man. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and gramps.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Denise Allen of Ferris; six daughters, Denise Fortner and her fiancé Michael Pierce of Rockwall, Andrea Allen of Plano, Amy Cosby of Buffalo, MO, Brandy Waechter of Tucson, AZ, Rose Allen Puentes of Waco and Jessica Allen of Ferris; one son, Alfred Daniel Allen of Ferris; grandchildren, Megan, Ryan, Savannah, Shaylee, Kali, Sadie and Hazel and one to be soon great grandchild. Graveside service will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
