Isabel Brown, 88, of Sun City, Arizona passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 5, 2009. Isabel was born on July 26, 1921 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Arthur and Minda Teeter.

She moved to Portland, Oregon in 1943 and worked for Pacific Northwest Bell, line repair as an administrative assistant and retired in 1981 with thirty-five years service. Isabel was widowed in 1972 and in 1987 decided to move to Sun City, Arizona, as her and her husband Bob visited the valley for years. Not one to sit around, she started volunteering. Some of her accomplishments include: twenty years with Meals-on-Wheels, fourteen years as Condo secretary, ten years with Westside Food Bank, eight years with St. Clements Adult Care, SCAT Dial-A-Ride, peppermint Retirement Center, Sun City Newcomers Club, a member of Telephone Pioneers of America, Sun City Stadium concession stand and Christmas tree angel program to name a few. She loved her volunteer work and living in the "Sunshine State". her home interests were gardening, tending her roses and amaryllis, and picking all the grapefruit she could process.

In addition to her son Roger and daughter-in-law Eileen, she is survived by her brother, Lloyd Teeter of Tigard, Oregon; four grandchildren: Laurie, Jennifer, Victoria and Steven; nine great-grandchildren; and three nieces.

A memorial service will be held December 11, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. with reception following, at Sunland Memorial Park 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the honor to Meals-on-Wheels at Boswell Hospital 13000 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ 85351 or Hospice of the Valley, Brighten Gardens 17225 N. Boswell Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85373
