Mrs. Clara L. Abendroth,, age 60, widow of the late E.T. Abendroth, died at St. Vincent's hospital in Indianapolis Sunday afternoon following a major abdominal operation performed there December 26.

Mrs. Abendroth, a resident of Tipton for 12 years, had been in serious condition for some time and her death had been expected by members of the family.

The body was taken to Young's Funeral home and services will be held there at 2:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with burial following in Fairview cemetery. Rev. O.K. Malone, Presbyterian church pastor. will be in charge.

Mrs. Abendroth was born September 15, 1882, in Black Creek, Wisconsin. She was married to Elmer T. Abendroth May 19, 1909, in Appleton, Wis., and the couple came to Tipton in 1930 when Mr. Abendroth and W.A. Zaloudak took over the Oakes Manufacturing Company here.

Two sons, Captain Myron Abendroth and Carlton Abendroth, survive. There are no brothers or sisters.
