Betsy Louisa Allen (born Corson) was the daughter of Thomas Corson and a Fidelia Morse Corson, born Sept. 9, 1845.
She married John Rhodes Allen in 1865, at the age of 19. They had 7 children; George Edward Allen, Erskine Eugene Allen who died at three years of age, Lowell Corson Allen, John Melvin Allen, Martha M Allen (Lenox,) Warren Jones Allen, and Theron Wallace Allen.
At the time of the 1910 census, Betsy and John were living on Evergreen and Moon Street Road and had been married 44 years. Six of their children were living at that time.
Betsy passed away on Feb. 8, 1923, at age 77.
