Mrs. Anthony was born May 9, 1937, in Henderson, Texas, and she died Saturday, February 4, 2006, in a local hospital. Mrs. Anthony was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, as well as a security guard for State Security, and had resided in Lufkin for most of her life. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her husband, Joe E. Anthony of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Anthony and John Brooks of Lufkin; son, Milton Anthony, Sr. of Lufkin; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; mother, Alvaretta Fredregill of Diboll; sisters, Betty Jo Flowers of Diboll and Pat Flores of California; brother, James Lee Burns of Central; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mrs. Anthony's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Family Funeral Care. Family Funeral Care of Lufkin.
