Mrs. Laura E. Slusser, 82, died at her home at 310 S. 7th St., Wednesday afternoon after a prolonged illness. Mrs. Slusser was born near Greenup, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Higgins. She spent most of her life around Moriah and was married to Harley Slusser, October 25, 1890, who preceded her in death in 1956.

Surviving are six children: John of Roseville, Ill., Mrs. Susan Thompson of Oaklawn, Calif., Charles of Peoria, Mrs. Merle Williams, Mrs. Mary Orr and James, all of Casey; four grandchildren and one great grandson.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Lindsey Funeral Home at 2 o'clock this afternoon with Rev. Arnold Johns officiating. Burial will be in the Slusser Cemetery south of Casey.
