JONESBORO, LA - Mr. Carroll Robinson, age 88, of Jonesboro died Friday, December 18, 2009 at Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston following a brief illness.

Mr. Robinson was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII; a member of the D.A.V.; a deacon of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro; was retired from Stone Container.

Friends may visit with the family 5:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Southern Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, December 20, 2009 in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Wesley officiating. Interment will be at Jonesboro Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Survivors include wife, Obelee Robinson of Jonesboro; son, Jerry L. Robinson and wife Benola of Jonesboro; daughter, Carolyn Taylor and husband Cordell of Jonesboro; sister, Martiel Abrahams of Lake Charles; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
