Marie Sharpe Canova was born on April 14, 1912 to John and Alice Sharpe. She was a life long resident of Middleburg, Fla. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Middleburg from 1924. She was a faithful and active member. She taught school for many years and had lots of friends. She was on the library board. She was married to Louie C. Canova, Jr. in 1938. They had a long blessed life together. Her family was a special joy for her as they all honored and revered her. She has 2 children Phyllis Pruitt (Sam) Orange Park , FL and Louie C. Canova, III (Marilyn) Rome, GA. grandchildren: Alice Pruitt (Brian), Paulk, Orange Park, John Pruitt (Carrie) Marietta, GA, Jenny Canova Morris (Robert) Oviedo, FL, Larry Pruitt, St. Augustine, FL, Christie Canova Corey (Brett) Cumming, GA, Travis Canova Arlington, VA, 5 great grandchildren, Nathan Paulk, Brock Morris, Mary Pruitt, Elizabeth Pruitt, Marie Morris and 2 on the way, pall bearers, John and Larry Pruitt, Travis Canova, Brian Paulk, Robert Morris and Brett Carey. Funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Middleburg with Dr. C. Alan Floyd officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Middleburg United Methodist Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL 32073.
