Mrs. Lake was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. She was a homemaker, a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Sacred Heart Circle, Saline County Medical Auxiliary and Parochial School Board. She was a volunteer for Sacred Heart School Library, Meals on Wheels and St. John's Hospital Gift Shop.
Mrs. Lake was a resident of Salina, Kansas, for most of her adult life, moving to Littleton in 1993.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max, in 1985, and a son, John, in 1951. Survivors included a son, Stephen; three daughters, Mary E. Spanberger, Kathrine A. Lake and Jane E. Schwartz; two brothers, George N. Lyon Jr. and William J. Lyon; and seven grandchildren.
