BONHAM - Services for Stewart Edward Arledge of Bonham, 87-year-old retired owner and operator of a men's clothing store who died Wednesday at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home.
The Rev. Steve Kerr of the First Presbyterian Church and the Rev. Katherine Campbell of the First Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Wild Cemetery.
Mr. Arledge was born in Bonham, a son of George Edward and Laura Stewart Arledge, and married Martha Robison on October 14, 1954 in Honey Grove.
He was a World War I Veteran and operated Arledge Men's Wear for several years before his retirement. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife; son, George Edward Arledge of LaMesa, California; stepdaughters, Mrs. Dava Hackney of Greenville and Mrs. Christine Robison of Sherman; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday
