Mary was born April 26, 1923, in Minneapolis, MN to the late Joseph and Ginnie Milewski.
She co-founded the family business, Archer Motors, in 1956 with her husband, James E. Archer, Sr. and was a member of Lynn Park Garden Club.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, James E. Archer, Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Marian Dowell; sons, James E. Archer, Jr. and his wife Gidget, Robert P. Archer and his wife, Lynne; grandchildren, Paul Archer, Jeff Archer, Todd Archer, Diane Marie Archer Bridges, Karyn Archer Collins, James Dowell, TJ Dowell, Jenny Dowell, and Alexandra; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Thames of Richmond, TX; brothers, Wally Milewski, Ray Milewski, and Ernie Milewski of Minneapolis, MN.
Services will take place at 12:30 PM on Monday, December 14, 2009, at the Chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079.
Interment will follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Resolution Hospice or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
