Catharine B. Berkheimer, 92, of Dover,entered into rest December 8, 2009, at Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the loving wife of Ralph F. Berkheimer. The couple celebrated 70 years of marriage on April 8, 2009.

She was born May 13, 1917, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Christian E. and Alyce (Pickell) Lamparter.

Catharine was a homemaker who liked to work with her hands. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, and beadwork. She also loved to go snowmobiling with her family. Catharine was a member of Dover Bethany United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Glenn E. Berkheimer and his wife, Joyce, and Wayne R. Berkheimer and his wife, Cynthia, all of Dover; three daughters, Sonja A. Crisamore and her husband, Allan of Dover, Carol K. Sarver and her husband, Robert of York, and Irene F. Lau and her husband, James of Dover; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; a sister, Ann Stover of Dover; and two brothers, Franklin Lamparter of Lancaster and Eugene Lamparter of Dover. She was preceded in death by two grandsons; two sisters, Margaret Lamparter and Alice Neiman; and three brothers, George Lamparter, Park Lamparter, and Richard Lamparter.

Burial will bein Dover Bethany Cemetery.
