Mrs. Florence (Loshbough) Bacon, 81, of 909 W. Colfax Ave., died Tuesday in the home of Mrs. Samuel Farris, 23755 Ardmore Tr., with whom she resided. She had been ill for a year.
She was born in South Bend on Jan. 30, 1879, and lived in Cleveland 42 years, returning to South Bend Five years ago.
She is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Ben Ross and Mrs. Dorothy McCarthy, both of South Bend, and a nephew, Anthony Shirk, of Grant Park, Ill.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Russell Funeral Chapel and until the services there at 2 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Van Hinkley, associate pastor of First Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Bowman Cemetery.
