Virginia Lee Yerby, 66, died September 18, 1996 at Kennett, Mo. Born September 30, 1929 in Henderson, Tennessee, she is the daughter of the late Thomas and Ola Ivy Riley.
She was a devoted housewife and mother and was a member of the Church of Christ in Senath, Mo.
She was united in marriage to John Yerby December 19, 1969 at Malden, Mo.
Survivors include: her husband, John Yerby of Senath, Mo.; four daughters, Brenda Sherman of Maryland Heights, Mo., Peggy Lowry of Berkley, Mo., LaDonna Jackson of Hayti, Mo., Sherry Ford of Kennett, Mo.; two brothers Dwayne Riley of Marion, Arkansas and Donald Riley of Caruthersville, Mo.; one sister, Inez Riley of Wardell, Mo. Eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a host of many friends.
Services were held Friday, September 20, 1996 at 4 p.m. in the John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti, Mo. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cmetery at Hayti, Mo.
