Lewis Calvin Abbott, 82 of Danville Rt.1, died at 3 p.m. Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Abbott was born May 16, 1892 in Scott County, Tenn. He had lived here since 1912 and belonged to the Parksville Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nancy Chambers Abbott; five daughters, Mrs. Otis Reed of Parksville, Mrs. Edith Gover of Danville, Mrs. Dorthia Record of Junction City, Mrs. Lee Brant of Danville and Mrs. J. R. Burnside of Lancaster; two sons, Manuel Abbott of Danville and Hubert Abbott of Danville Rt.1; one brother, Clifford Abbott of Parksville; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Coulter of Parksville, Mrs. Bertha Pendygraft of Danville, Mrs. Eva Stanley of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Ada Young of Danville and Mrs. Delphia Lougue of Junction City; 23 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Stith Funeral Home with the Rev. Vernon Lawyer conducting the services. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
