Elaine Secord, age 79, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2009. Elaine was born and raised in Wolverine, MI. She raised her children in the Ann Arbor area from 1958 until the mid 1970's. She moved back to Wolverine in the mid 1980's. Elaine will always be remembered for her life of dedication to her family. She enjoyed traveling and sewing, and she was a member of the Wolverine American Legion Auxiliary and the Wolverine Congregational Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Lee in 2001. Elaine is survived by her children, Dan Secord of Jackson, Karen (Mike) Cooch of Ann Arbor, Diane (Dan) Hamsher of Wolverine, Henry Secord of Detroit, Teresa Secord of Ypsilanti, and Lisa (Tony) Gay of Ann Arbor; five grand-children; brothers and sisters, Boyd (Orsika) Spencley, Ralph (Grace) Spencley, Russell Spencley, and Betty (Keith) Babcock. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 12:00 Noon from Wolverine Congregational Church, Pastor Leroy Sutfin, officiating. The family will greet friends at the church on Wednesday, beginning at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Little Traverse Bay Hiland Hospice, through the Nelson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734
