EVA LOUISE ALLYN, 69, of Herrickville died Wednesday May 31, 1989 at the Robert Packer Hospital. She was born June 26, 1919 the daughter of the late Harry D. and Laura Davis Howland in Neath, PA. She was married on April 25, 1940 to Clifford L. Allyn. Mrs. Allyn was a member of the Herrickville United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of LeRaysville High School and also graduated from the Lowell Business School, Binghamton. Her life was dedicated to her family and being a housewife.

Surviving is her husband Clifford L. Allyn; three sons and daughters-in-law: Arthur and Alice Allyn, Sugar Run, Lee and Nancy Allyn, French Asylum, Rodney and Alice Allyn, Spring Lake: two daughters and sons-in-law, Mar and Floyd Cobb, Herrickville, Ruth Anne and Kenneth Potter, Terrytown; a sister, Mary Hutchings, East Towanda: two brothers: kenneth Howland, Neath and George Howland, East Herrick. She has 14 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters, several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in the Neath Cemetery. Funeral services will be held Saturday June 3, 1989 at 2 p.m. at the Kerr-McHenry Funeral Home, 106 Church St., Wyalusing with the Rev. Karen Bey, pastor of the Herrickville United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call at the Kerr-McHenry Funeral Home Friday evening from 7-9. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to the Diabetes Association or the Herrickville United Methodist Church General Fund in care of Karen Reeves, RD 3, Wyalusing or to HOPS Ambulance Association in care of James Siepler, RD 1, Rome. –Towanda Daily Review courtesy of Pat Gobea
