Services for Theola Parnell of Norfork will be at 2 pm Friday at the Galatia Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Stan Sutterfield officiating. Mrs. Parnell died Wednesday (March 31, 1993) at Baxter County Regional Hospital. She was 83.
Visitation will be from noon to 9pm today at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends form 6 - 8 pm. Burial will be at Galatia Cemetery with Joe Parnell, Everett Parnell, Sylvester Parnell, Jerry Parnell and two of her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the remainder of her grandsons.
An area native, Mrs. Parnell was born March 16, 1910, at Flippin, daughter of Marion and Anna Stevens Casey. She married the late Joseph D. Parnell and was a homemaker. Mrs. Parnell was a member of the Galatia Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by four sons, Joe Parnell of Salesville, and Everett Parnell, Sylvester Parnell and Jerry Parnell, all of Norfork; a daughter, Maxine Langston of Scotland, Ark.; two sisters, Lorene Hicks of Calico Rock and Marie Goatley of Gassville; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, both parents, two sisters, and two brothers.
Roller Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
