Obituary: Iberia Sentinel, Thursday, March 26, 1970

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Phillips Chapel in Eldon for Joel Boyd Wall, 75, of Eldon, a retired stockman and trader. Mr. Wall died Tuesday morning, March 24, 1970, at the Miller County Nursing Home. He had been transferred there on Feb. 20, from Still Hospital, Jefferson City.

He was born July 5, 1894, at Brumley, the son of the late Henry David and Mariah Catherine Graham Wall. On Cot. 4, 1914, he was married in Camden county to Mattie L. Thompson who survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Mary Catherine Farris of Barnett; three sons, Sherril L. Wall and Henry D. Wall of Kansas City, Kan., and Lilburn T. Wall of Republic; one brother, Ralph H. Wall of Kansas City, Kan.; four sisters, Mrs. Walksie Maltby and Mrs. Luna Martin of Kansas City, Kan., Mrs. Nellie Jones of Olmsted, Ill., and Mrs. Hazel Martin of Etterville; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Wall was a past member of Brumley Masonic Lodge. The Rev. Eldon Myers will officiate at the funeral services. Burial will be in Hawkins Cemetery near Brumley.
