Branchville - Services for Minnie Irene Black Griffith Rhoad, 66, of Rfd 2, Boc 54A, Branchville, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Zion United Methodist Church. The Rev. George Autry and the Rev. Kathy Griffith will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg. Memorials may be made to Palmetto Hospice of Bamberg, 100 McGee Street, Bamberg, SC 29003. Mrs. Rhoad died Monday, December 4, 2000. Born in the Pine Hill Community of Orangeburg County, December 28, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Marion Hugo Black and Ina Etheridge Black. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. Mrs. Rhoad retired from American Yard Products. She was formerly employed with Roses Department Store and was a former member of Crestview Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Boyd Rhoad, Branchville; daughters, Linda Rickenbaker, Elloree, Joyce Bishop, Rowesville, Joan Griffith, Branchville, Kathy Wannamaker, Cope; sister, Elaine Simpson; Edgemoor; brothers, Marion H. Back, Cameron; John Henry Black, Elloree; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
