Violet and her husband owned and operated the family dairy farm in the Town of Lakeside for many years. She was also an avid gardener, cook, baker and crafter. She was a longtime member of the Lakeside Homemakers Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Anna Nelson.
In addition to her husband, Walter, Violet is survived by one son, David (Dione) of Ashland; one daughter, Ruth Erkkila of St Paul, MN; two grandchildren, Dale (Nancy) Erkkila of Omaha, NE and Dana Martin, Ft Worth, TX; three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Grace and Kaitlyn; one brother-in-law, Rudolph (Clarice) Erkkila of Superior; a foster son, Donald Sullivan of Bayfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
