James was born on October 12, 1903, in Scottland, MO, the son of the late Dr. James W. Brock Sr. and Anna May (Walls) Brock.
James was a Stationary Fireman and a Farmer.
He was also an avid sportsman who thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing.
James was of the Methodist faith.
James married Muriel Whitehead in 1925. She preceded him in death on February 23, 1984.
Survivors include one daughter, Mildred Katzfey, of LaRussell; three grandsons, Donald Katzfey, James Brock and Robert Brock; and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one son, Donald Wesley Brock, and one half-brother, Isaah Ulysses Grim.
