Allen, a druggist at Havensville, died suddenly at that place, last Saturday evening. He had been on a drunken spree for several days, and had been taken in charge by an officer, who, owing to his wild condition, could do nothing with him, and finally locked him in a room. Going in, a short time afterwards, he was found dead.

The Holton Recorder, October 13, 1881.
