Mrs. Josie Mays Griffin, 81, of 233 Walker Street, wife of the late Mr. W.H. Griffin, entered into rest, Wednesday, October 5, 1955, at her residence. Funeral services will be held from Poteet Funeral Home Chapel Thursday at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Frank Q. Echols officiating. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. A native of Augusta, Mrs. Griffin was a housewife. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Otis Rae, Atlanta; son, Tracey Griffin, Jacksonville, Fla.; one granddaughter and one great granddaughter. Pallbearers will be C.M. Russell, J.B. Newton, Clifford F. Russell, Harold Shafin, Joe Turner and B.F. Whaley.
