She was born in New Holstein June 2, 1909, a daughter of Herman and Emma Mentzel Heft (originally Duesterhoeft). She attended New Holstein High School and later took business college courses. She was a secretary for the Unit Crane Corporation in Milwaukee until retirement in 1972 when she returned to New Holstein. Her marriage to James W. Bostian took place January 6, 1935 in Decatur, Georgia. Mr. Bostian died July 31, 1960.
Surviving is a brother, Arthur Heft of New Holstein.
The funeral service was at the Erbe-Evjen Funeral Home in New Holstein, the Rev. Albert K. Borns, pastor of ST. John United Church of Christ in New Holstein, officiating. Burial was in the New Holstein Cemetery.
