Mary Pauline Aull, 98, of 709 Christopher Greenup Drive, Owensboro, died Sunday, April 21, 1996, at her home. She was born in Daviess County, had been a homemaker and was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ministry of Praise. Her husband, Harry Aull, died Dec. 4, 1971. A daughter, Hazel Ruth Aull, who died in 1919 and three sons, Charles Thomas Aull, who died in 1921, Joseph "Jack" Aull, who was killed in World War II; and James Aull, who died Dec. 18, 1994, preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, Bill Aull and Bob Aull, both of Philpot, and Joe Aull of Naples, Fla.; eight daughters, Elizabeth Miller, Mary T. Higdon, Sister Margaret Joseph O.S.U., Sister Marie Michael C.P., Joy Dunn and Anna Carolyn "Crickett" Lyddane, all of Owensboro, Sister Naomi of Louisville and Beverly Clark of Dallas; 36 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Gene Mattingly of Louisville; and three sisters, Mary Callahan of Kansas, Kate Dishman of Michigan and Nannie Mae Higdon of Owensboro. Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Owensboro. Burial will be in St. William Catholic Church Cemetery, Knottsville. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home, Owensboro, where prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Passionist Nuns, 8564 Crisp Road, Whitesville, KY 42378. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.
