Leo W. Ornousky, 85, of Norwalk, husband of Wanda Stahursky Ornousky died Thursday in the Norwalk Hospital.

Born in Westport, CT; he was the son of the late Piotr and Kataryna Przybyszewska Ornousky. Mr. Ornousky was a longtime Norwalk resident and had been retired from Norden Systems. He was very active in youth sports attending many events and also had coached several area teams. He was a founding father of the Norwalk Athletic Association Youth Football League. He was an avid fisherman and served with the U.S. Army in WW II.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Peter Ornousky and his wife Maureen, of Norwalk and Terry Foster, of Mechanicsburg, PA; one daughter, Kathy Dykman of Westport, CT; grandchildren, Eileen Ornousky, Caitlin Ornousky, Heidi Spinola, Harry Roraback, Cynthia Foster and Gwendelyn Foster and four great grandchildren. Mr. Ornousky was predeceased by his siblings, Stanley Jabieski, Ted Jabieski, Frank Jabieski, Sophie Bovee, Mary Cullen and Helen Criado.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:30 AM in Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Avenue, Westport. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Greens Farms.

Friends may visit on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk.
