DUMAS, Tex. (UPI) - Moore County Sheriff John M. Easley died in Memorial Hospital early today after a lengthy illness.
Eastley [sic], 57, was born in El Dorado, Okla., and had been sheriff for 19 years.
He is survived by his widow, a son, a daughter, a brother and two sisters. Services were set for 2 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church of Dumas, with burial at North Lawn Memorial Gardens in Dumas.
John M. Easley was a sheriff of Moore County, Texas, for many years. He was the husband of Lula Mae (Russell) Easley. John and Lula were the parents of Ronald Wayne Easley, born Nov. 24, 1951 and Ronda Renee Easley, born Mar 24, 1957.
