Mrs. Margaret Washington Clifford, granddaughter of Booker T. Washington, passed away on September 5, 2009. Mrs. Clifford was born in 1921 and was 88 at the time of her passing.
Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Margaret Washington Clifford will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 11AM at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 435 Peachtree St., NE. Atlanta, GA. 30308. The Rev. Daniel P. Matthews, Jr., Rector.
Her memories are left to be cherished by her son Marshall "Butch" Abuwi (Jacqueline); daughter, Robin C. Banks; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 sister; other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Booker T. Washington Scholarship Fund at Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, Alabama. Interment will take place at 1PM (CST) on Monday, Sept 14, 2009 on the campus of Tuskegee University. Peoples Funeral Home, 500 Fonville, St. Tuskegee, AL 36083. Family will receive friends this evening from 6:30-8PM.
