Julia Frances Beebe, daughter of Lavinia Jane (née Hager) and Henry Pierce Beebe, was born in 1857 in Platte Township, Dodge County, Nebraska Territory. Her family had settled there in September 1856, and endured the extremely cold winter of 1856-57.

Julia F. Beebe and James A. C. Wallingford were married on 16 November 1879 in Dodge County, Nebraska. The couple are known to have had three sons:
• Arthur C. C. Wallingford (17 Nov 1880 - 13 May 1882)
• James Henry Marion Wallingford (23 Oct 1882 - Sep 1975)
• Charles Steadman Wallingford (26 Nov 1884 - Mar 1968)

James A. C. Wallingford died on 26 March 1885, at his home in Fremont, Dodge County. "Wallingford, Frances" was enumerated as a widow with two sons on 8-9 June 1885 in Dodge County.

Mrs. Frances Wallingford married Jesse J. Beeman in January 1898 in Dodge County. They later moved to Lincoln County, Washington, where Frances died in 1907 from breast cancer. Jesse J. Beeman remarried in 1919, and died in 1930.
