Hazel Marie Baird, 79, formerly of the Solway community, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004, at Jellico Community Hospital in Jellico.

Born March 11, 1925, in Eagan, she was the daughter of James Franklin and Bertha Williams Owens.

She was a member of the Mount Harmony Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting ginseng, flowers and sewing.

She worked as a riveter for Martin Marietta in Baltimore, Md.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Baird, a sister and a brother Hannah Adams and Harold Owens, and three grandsons, Bobby Kyle Keisling, Robert Lee Keisling and Randal Baird.

Mrs. Baird is survived by her son Bobby Lee Keisling of Powell; eight grandchildren, Robert Keisling of London, Ky., Brenda Champlin of Alabama, William Creed Keisling and Shane Keisling, both of Williamsburg, Ky., and Bobbie Sherri, Pamela Bailey, Russell Baird and Terry Ballard; her nieces, Marjorie Chambers, of Taylor, Mich., Lena Petrey of Williamsburg, Ky., Donna Douglas of Portage, Ind.; and by a special cousin, Leon King and wife, Amy, of Oak Ridge.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Hale officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
