HOLDENVILLE - Nancy Harjo BEAVER was born March 3, 1903. She died November 29, 1998, at Holdenville General Hospital. Wake services were held December 1 at the Hudson-Phillips Chapel, followed by funeral services December 3 at Salt Creek United Methodist Church. Officiating were Rev. Harry Long and Rev. Thomas Roughface and Elder Kelly Tiger. Interment was at the Harjo Family Cemetery.

She was reared in the Salt Creek and Yeager communities and attended Euchee Boarding School.

She was married to John BEAVER in 1927 and they resided in the Salt Creek and Yeager communities.

At the time of her death, she was recognized as the oldest member of the Yeager community and of the Salt Creek United Methodist Church. She had been active in the United Methodist Women, the Northeast Senior Methodists, the Holdenville Indian Community and was a post member of Yeager Home Demonstration Club.

She was the daughter of Lilla and Rhoda SCOTT HARJO. She was Atayacvlke and a member of Tukvpvtce Tribal Town.

She is survived by one son, Eugene BEAVER of Holdenville; three daughters, Norean TIGER, Cora BEAVER, and Wanda POSTOAK, all of Holdenville; and two grandchildren, Colleen LARNEY of Oklahoma City and Kelly TIGER, Jr. of Tulsa.
