W. Riley Deeble Buried
Services Conducted at Home and Oak Hill Cemetery Chapel
The funeral of W. Riley Deeble took place yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the chapel at Oak Hill Cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. Dr. Herbert S. Smith of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church. Prayer services were held previously at the home, 2020 P Street Northwest and a hymn was sung by the quartet of St. Margaret's Church of which Mr. Deeble was a vestryman. The chapel services were attended by a great gathering of friends of Mr. Deeble in both public and private life. The casket was covered with flowers. Interment was private, being attended only by members of the family and the pallbearers. The pallbearers were Admiral Thomas O. Selfridge, Albion K. Parris, William A. Mearns, Augustine Crane Jr., Le Roy Tuttle and James B. Wimer.
