Rose Myrtle Cassaw, 82, 1316 S. Summit St., died Monday evening at her daughter's home near Ponca City. She was a retired retail clerk.
She was born Dec. 27, 1903, to Lorenzo D. and Mary E. Vergason McDaniel in Butler, Mo.
She married Robert L. Cassaw Nov. 22, 1922, at Jennings, Okla. He died Aug 10, 1981.
She worked in the Crest Dime Store until she retired in 1975. She also worked for Ark Valley Manor Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church.
Her survivors include her son Bobby, Salina, daughters, Mrs. Jim (Juanita) Krider,Ponca City, and Mrs. Leon (Charlotte) Williams, Arkansas City; two sisters, Mrs. Dude West, Shidler, Okla., and Mrs. Bill (Ruby) Goodson, Arkansas City; 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Foursquare Gospel church with Rev. Warren Schulze officiating. Her grandsons will be casketbearers. Burial will be in Newkirk cemetery. E.M. Trout and Sons Funeral Home, Ponca City, is in charge.
A memorial has been established with the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Cancer research.
The family will be at the Jim Krider home, Rt. 7, Ponca City.
