Mrs. Nancy E. Blanchard, born in Gennessee[sic] county, New York, May 3, 1834, died September 13th, 1908, of cerebral hemorrhages, at her home west of town. Mrs. Blanchard had lived in Colorado since 1880, moving here from the east with her husband, who preceded her in death some years ago. Mrs. Blanchard was the mother of ten children, five of whom are dead. A short funeral service was held at the Blanchard home Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m., by Rev. Geo. F. Sevier, after which the remains were laid to rest in Fairmont[sic] cemetery. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community.
